The defect
Certain rfd components wheels p/nos. Ay-130 and ab-125 manufactured on january 1, 2005, and sold as original motor vehicle equipment. due to a defective weld, the wheel can fail.
The risk
A vehicle crash could occur should the wheel fail while the vehicle IS in use, possibly resulting in personal injury or death.
The remedy
Rfd will notify its customers and replace the wheels free of charge. the recall began june 20, 2005. owners may contact rfd components at 574-295-3939.
