The defect
Certain kerr polo motorcycle helmets, model H205, manufactured between july 1 and december 5, 2005. these helmets fail to comply with the impact requirement of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 218, motorcycle helmets.
The risk
The wearer of a noncompliant helmet may be seriously injured or killed from head impacts in the event of a crash.
The remedy
Kerr will notify owners and offer full credit for the recalled helmets. the recall IS expected to begin during august 2006. owners may contact kerr leathers, inc. At 1-800-994-5377.
