The defect
On certain trailers, the air ride suspension hanger weld may fail at the attachment point between the hanger and the subframe.
The risk
The suspension and axles can detach from the trailer frame and cause personal injury to persons outside the vehicle and could cause a crash without warning.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect the suspension hanger area , repair as necessary, and install a support gusset to strengthen the weld free of charge. the recall IS began on january 31, 2006. owners may contact wilson trailer at 1-800-798-2002.
