The defect
Certain motor homes built on prevost chassis may have a defective pivot mounting plate on the wiper mechanism. some parts may be defective due to a weak or missing weld bead on one pivot.
The risk
If this part IS defective, a failure of the wiper mechanism may occur while in use, making the wipers totally inoperative affecting the driver's visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will repair the pivot mounting plate of the windshield wiper mechanism free of charge. the recall began on august 14, 2006. owners may contact country coach at 1-800-547-8015.
