Reported Oct 17, 2016114 vehicles affectedNewmar CorporationBuilt Sep 7, 2011 – Sep 6, 2016

The defect

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2012-2017 Canyon Star motor homes manufactured September 7, 2011, to September 6, 2016 and equipped with wheelchair lifts. The risk

Unintentional movement of the wheelchair lift can cause injury to the lift occupant and/or the lift operator.

The remedy

Newmar will notify owners, and Newmar service facilities will replace the wheelchair lift base mounting bolts, free of charge. The recall began on October 28, 2016. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300.
