Reported Aug 12, 1981190 vehicles affectedAPOLLO MOTOR HOMES, INC.Built Oct 1, 1979 – Feb 1, 1981

The defect

The two 0.5 by 1.5 inch tubes that the liquified petroleum tank IS bolted to are subject to failure at the weld between the tube ends and the subfloor structure. Inadequate mounting could make it possible for the tank to separate from the motorhome.

The remedy

Upon inspection, four bolts will be added through the top of the lpg tank mounting bracket to secure it to the floor of the motorhome, if necessary.
