The defect

The routing and fastening of the auxiliary starter cable in the area of the engine compartment IS fastened in such a fashion that it may, through contact with a frame member, chafe and create an electrical short.

The remedy

The auxiliary starter wiring will be refastened; in the event of any chafing, it will be replaced. This will be performed at no cost to owner.
