The defect

Improper welds where steerable drive end mounting flange IS attached to the tubular portion of the housing.

The risk

Failure of welds could result in axle end separatingfrom the housing resulting in possible vehicle crash and damage to vehicle.

The remedy

Replacement of all defective axle housings.
