The defect
Tires may bear wrong size paper label on the tread of the tire, although proper size IS molded on the sidewall.
The risk
Mounting and inflation of 16 inch tires on 16.5 inch rims could be extremely hazardous and can cause injury or death.
The remedy
Return mislabeled tires to dealer for removal of label and installation of correct replacement labels.
