The defect

Jack stand cannot hold the rated capacity of 8,000 pounds on a single post of the saddle.

The risk

Jack stand failure to hold the rated weight capacity canresult in injury if a person IS working under or near the vehicle on the jackstand.

The remedy

New warning labels showing a 6500 pound capacity for the jack stand will be distributed.
