The defect
Plastic laminate on the buckle shield can break after force IS applied in repeated use.
The risk
The broken plastic laminate on the shield would make thebuckle difficult to fasten; if the buckle IS not securely fastened, the childwould not be properly restrained in a sudden stop or accident.
The remedy
Install new shield that will be sent by fisher price to affected seat owners by calling the toll-free number 1-800-332-3457.
