The defect

The helmets fail to meet the penetration, impact attenuation, and retention requirements of fmvss no. 218, "motorcycle helmets."

The risk

Persons wearing these helmets involved in accidents facean increased risk of head injuries.

The remedy

Helmets should be returned to "helmet recall, p.o. Box 21338, ft. Lauderdale, fl 33335" for a refund of the purchase price.
