The defect

Equipment description: aluma dual truck wheels. these wheels have a circumferential weld that IS used in wheel assembly. at the overlap of the weld, a crack in the weld area can occur.

The risk

The wheel and tire unit can experience a slow air leak.

The remedy

Dealers will replace these wheels with wheels having two circumferential welds.
