The defect

Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks equipped with dual steering. the steering column welds on these vehicles can fracture, allowing the steering column to separate.

The risk

A complete loss of vehicle steering on the affected side could occur.

The remedy

Dealers will replace these steering columns.
