10251342Altec has learned that a retaining ring was not installed on the capstan shaft of certain cable tensioning trailers built from June 2017 to June 2023. This could result in the capstan detaching from the motor on the affected units.
10232951Altec has learned that when the coolant-style oil heater on certain AH75B/85B100B aerial devices built from April 2021 to August 2022 is active, the operator has to turn off the engine in order to disengage the power take-off (PTO). Replacement of a wiring harness in the pedestal is required to resolve this issue.
10219679Altec has learned that operators of TS336 series conductor tensioners and TS40-PT conductor pullers built from October 2015 to July 2022 may not always tighten the bolts properly on the locking/lift weldment, and may allow the arbor bar to be contaminated with grease. This can allow the locking/lift weldment to move away from the conductor reel during operation, allowing the reel to slide away from the drive arm and disengage from the drive pins. This can increase the possibility of unintended reel rotation and conductor movement due to the lack of control of the load. Altec has developed a placard for installation on the locking/lift weldment describing the requirements for proper bolt torquing and arbor bar cleanliness.
