Brand new trailer brakes did not work as designed. We personally found undersize wire and oil contaminated brake parts. Also structurally there was a break on the trailer frame weld that was due to poor weld quality. We send the trailer to a big-tex "approved" repair facility where they confirmed the issue. Big Tex declined to cover any of the defects sticking us with thousands of dollars in repairs. We are a small utility district on the Oregon coast and I feel we were sold a lemon. It was especially harmful that they declined all warranty repairs on a brand new unit. Wire gauge was too small for a tandem axle trailer brake, and brtakes did not perform.
