  Driver and passenger door actuators and latches are not working. these are the soft-close doors and once you are inside and the door locks, you cannot unlock it to get out. You can press the lock button and it does not unlock. Also, if you lock the car from the outside, you are not able to unlock the car to get back in with the remote or the actual key. BMW IS charging for a locksmith to unlock the car and they are charging over $2500 to repair. This IS a safety hazard if you are driving and was there was an emergency that would have to exit the car this would be life-threatening.

  Leaking fuel code p1449 dmtl diagnostic module tank leak. Woke up with fuel spots on both sides of vehicle near fuel tank. Vehicle was stationary parked in the driveway!!!! Lucky for me ! It was not in the garage.

The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician diagnosed that the electronic floor shifter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 66,000.

To effectively move the camshafts to the target positions in the specified time and under all engine conditions, sufficient oil pressure supply to the VANOS control pistons must always be available. If engine operation requires the VANOS system to quickly advance or retard the intake or exhaust camshaft, faults may be stored if the camshaft is ""late"", or does not reach the target position. In this situation, engine power may be reduced and a check control message is displayed. The consequential fault 3100 or 120408 can also be set in the DME fault memory as well."
