In case of a frontal crash, the doors should be unlocked after 160 milliseconds. Due to software errors in the Body Domain Controller (BDC) a rollover-crash leads to an immediate unlocking (after 30 milliseconds) and in a frontal crash the doors are unlocked only after 300 milliseconds. BDC software error
10152656RAM CONTROL UNIT: CANNOT BE ENCODED / NO SOUND OUTPUT. After programming the RAM (audio amplifier) one of the following errors may occur: 1. Coding of the RAM-01 audio amplifier fails repeatedly. 2. The RAM-01 audio amplifier was successfully programmed and encoded with ISTA. However after the vehicle goes to sleep, the sound output no longer works. The root cause for this error is still under investigation.
10152655NEW ECU VALIDATION NEEDED AFTER REPLACING CERTAIN CONTROL MODULES. With introduction of the new Headunit HU-H3 (MGU Media Graphics Unit) we have a new way protection mechanism against tampering. If one or more of the following components MGU, TCB Telematic Communication Box (ATM-02), RSE Rear Seat Entertainment or KOMBISP18 instrument cluster needs to be replaced the secure connection between them must be re-established. In order to re-establish the connection, an electronic certificate must be created from the BMW backend and imported into the Vehicle. After the replacement of one of the mentioned Modules the Control Module needs a valid certificate in order to communicate with the other Modules.
10152652After programming it could be that some fault codes cannot be deleted even after a sleep cycle of the vehicle.
