Risk
A flashing brake light can cause confusion to other drivers on the road, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
BMW will notify owner, and dealers will reprogram the emergency stop signal function, free of charge. The recall began May 11, 2020. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

- 10252137Due to an internal time offset in the communication of the control units fault entry 0X480688 ABS: Vehicleencoding faulty (ABS: Vehicle encoding faulty). May appear after programming the ABS. The fault memory cannot be deleted even after resetting the variant and or setting the variant again has been carried out without success.
