On our 2026 Brinkley Z3200 fifth wheel. our trailer brakes & tail signal lights ceased working with zero warning, due to a defective retaining clip that holds a plug into the ABS Module. We experienced complete failure on a trip over XXX in [XXX]. We pulled over immediately and engaged CHAT GPT for help. We learned this is a KNOWN, COMMON defect in the ABS Module produced by Lippert Corrp. CHAT GPT provided us with the ABS Module location, how to access it and the temporary repair to correct. We were instructed to insert the disengaged plug into the module and wrap it with tape to hold in place. The retaining clip is known to break, due to road vibrations and allow the plug to disengage, leaving the trailer with zero braking ability and zero tail turn signals WITHOUT ANY WARNING. Once we performed this KNOWN fix, the brakes and tail signals immediately began working again. Had this KNOWN and COMMON defect occurred less than 24hr earlier, when we were twisting through [XXX] mountain passes at 9100 ft, the outcome could have been very different, with us careening off the mountain side. Luckly, we haul our trailer with a 2026 Chevy 3500 diesel dually, so my husband was able to utilize the exhaust breaks to bring us safely into the [XXX] rest stop. I respectfully request an investigation be performed and a national recall be considered on this defective component, as many Brinkley and other manufacturers are continually installing this ABS module with the KNOWN and COMMON defective retaining clip into their trailers. Under no circumstances should we need to perform an emergency repair to render our brakes useable, especially on a 6- figure purchase. Others have shared they have experienced this defect through brand forums. It is a death trap to anyone and everyone. I have indicated to Brinkley that I am absolutely not willing to replace the ABS Module with the same DEFECTIVE component. We need [XXX] and Brinkley to step up and keep us safe! Rear Axle of the tandem-axles became loose/damaged and came off the RV-trailer. When that happened, the trailer tracked side-ways into traffic on I-80 Eastbound,
prior to every trip i make i do a pre trip inspection . I purchased a brand new brinkley rv on 2/18/2026 the hitch where it connects to my vehicle on the rv side has a major CRACK in the frame . my rv came equipped with the the LIPPERT TCS suspension and I am experiencing a suspension failure where the suspension parts are falling off as I am driving without warning .i did a post trip in spection because i notice a significant change in the way the rv was handling and i found this : the bolts that hold the axles are hitting the frame . shock bolts are shearing off and coming loose , shock absorbers are falling off . bump stops are falling off and i lost one on the highway back from [XXX] . the unit has less than 2500 miles on it . if a shock absorber or other suspension parts fall off it could cause a catastrophic accident . the curt TCS failure are going viral on you tube the rv is currently in my driveway and it is unsafe to transport .
