  The exhaust manifolds on my truck are severely rusted and bolts have broken off causing the dreaded po430 code and now the truck won't pass state emissions testing until I spend over $1,000 correcting general motors' defect. so many trucks were effected and my cousin's 2005 tahoe had the same exact issue. both trucks are well maintained and mine IS normally parked in my garage and cleaned frequently. don't let me get started on the rust under the rear doors. great trucks but gm really dropped the ball with quality of these parts. it's unfair to the customer to have to correct these issues despite taking good care of their vehicles. I own 5 vehicles and none of them have this issue, even my 22 year old 96 impala SS.

• 11007208This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about changing the tire and wheel size on vehicles. General Motors will only support a tire calibration for tires that have been sized, tested and designed for the vehicle in question and its applications. Technician should not use the information that is provided by the antilock braking system tire size selection.
• 11006621Vehicle Wide Programming (VWP) is a new process to update software on GM Vehicles. It provides the ability via a single selection within Techline Connect to first identify which modules need updating and then proceed to updating affected modules (with some exceptions). The updating of modules is completed in parallel instead of the technician needing to update one module at a time. This allows a more streamlined approach for dealers and customers.
