Seatbelt drivers side doesn't retract. Like 2007 the car randomly stalls while driving. In motion. Both are huge safety issues.

At 121,000 miles the horn began to blow by itself at very random times, I had to remove the relay to stop it, not safe.
- Unknown or other
The horn starts honking for no reason as I am driving down the road, it also honks when I unlock the door using the remote without anyone being in the car.

Possible takata recall!!! While coming down and around a corner on a highway there was a car turning and I did not have enough times to stop. Which caused me to rearend the other vehicle. It was a beautiful day so we had my 2006 chrysler sebring convertible top down. I was driving while my 15 year old daughter was in the front passenger seat. MY12 year old daughter directly behind her and my 7 year old niece behind me. The front air bags deployed. My 15 year old whom was wearing her seatbelt was thrown forward due to her seatbelt locking mechanism not locking. Thankfully the seatbelt eventually caught her by the right thigh saving her from being ejected from the vehicle. she substained what could have easily been a life threatening laceration to left side (but more towards the middle) of her foreheard directly above her left eyebrow. The laceration was 8CM, the shape of a cross, and it was 3 layers deep. My younger daughter whom was directly behind her had a patch of skin on top of her left foot that was cut off. We are in the process of getting someone to come and take a look at the vehicle before the insurance company gets rid of it in the next week. we are not sure if my 15 year old daughter's head was cut from airbag shrapnel flying out since the size, shape, and location of the laseration IS the same size, shape and location on one of the bigger trakata air bag injuries that IS out there publicly. Or if her injury was due to her hitting her head on something due to the fact that her seatbelt locking mechanism was not working. Either way this needs to be looked into before someone else IS injured or worse yet killed... please look into this...* the passenger airbag light would go on every once and awhile but would then go off when you moved the passenger chair back or forth. The same problem the 2010 chrysler sebring convertibles are just now recalling.

I used the horn and it didn't shut off when I removed my hand from the steering wheel. I had to remove the fuse to get it to turn off. I replaced the fuse but the horn would still go off by itself at random times. A dealer told me the clock spring in the steering wheel was faulty and needed to be replaced. Apparently, this IS a common problem with this vehicle, and it IS very unsafe since it affects the airbags as well as the horn.

I was not under warranty, but I noticed the repair ticket had a cost in the range of $700 to $1,000 to complete the job. I bet a lot of people just leave horn and airbag disconnected rather than pay that much money. I have seen many people complain about the same.

I was driving and the horn went off and I could not get it to stop finally after about 2 minumtes and constant hitting the horn button on the steering wheel it did. A few moments later ID did the same thing. The next day just getting in the car caused the horn tom go off. I talked to a chrysler dealership and while they agreed there IS a problem it IS not had enough complaints for chrysler to admit there IS a design/swith problem. The repair cost IS to expensive and the simple solution could and probably IS a dangerous one and that IS to disconnect the horn. I hope chrysler acts on something that IS a well known problem before some IS seriously hurt. I bought my car and take care of it like most do but a manufacturing problem IS something that the manufacturer should fix I hope chrysler agrees. *tr

While driving the horn will intermittently turn on. No amount of pressing on the horn button will make it stop. This especially will happen on cold days. If the horn IS applied, it might also stay on for a period of time. After consulting with the chrysler dealer, I am being told that the remedy for the situation IS to change the entire airbag module, since the horn button IS a part of that assembly. This assembly can not be taken apart for repair. After looking on the internet, I see that this IS a quite common problem for this vehicle. I feel that this IS a safety issue that chrysler need to address. The repair cost IS also so high $700-$1000 that most people will rather disconnect the horn than pay to have the problem fixed. *tr

I applied pressure to the steering wheel to activate the horn and the horn would not stop blaring after I removed my hand. The only way to get it to stop was to lean heavily on the steering wheel where the horn IS. I was in heavy traffic with no place to pull over, so it was a very dangerous situation. Ultimately, I had to remove the fuse that controls the horn and incidentally the air bags, rendering both the horn and air bags inoperable. *tr

Horn goes off by itself. When I unlocked door with remote horn started to blow and would stop when steering wheel was pressed and then start up again for no reason. This worked well for 1 1/2 years now it IS happening again. *tr

Horn randomly goes off (like the alarm).at first it was at unlock, now it IS also when driving at speed. Totally random. Today it went off in the driveway, at a parking lot, and then again when I was driving home. took to a dealership last week, they could not locate a fault. 5 min on google and I saw many complaints on a foil that gets worn over time causing contact shorts in the horn assembly or pad...apparently a $1100 fix. this IS a safety issue, and it IS a faulty part, it should most certainly be a recall. I have only driven this car 31000 miles. *tr

While exiting the driveway, the horn just randomly began going off and would not stop. nothing we did would stop it. we turned off the car, and began pulling all fuses and relays associated with the horn until it stopped. when we put the relay back in, the horn went off again. the only way to keep the horn off, IS to pull the relay- otherwise it blows 24/7. We replace the relay with a new one; same thing- horn blowing 24/7. so now I am driving around without a horn, which IS a very dangerous thing to be doing. not to mention I can not pass a safety inspection without it. based on our research, the only way to fix it, IS to replace the "guts" under the air bag, which means replacing the air bag as well. how IS this not a safety issue? chrysler should be issuing a recall for this!!!! *tr
