A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire which may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.
Remedy
Navistar/workhorse IS handling the remedy and owner notification for this campaign please see navistar/workhorse's defect report 10v-348. Navistar/workhorse will replace the original fuel-fill cap assemblies with ones assembled with hose material that meets design specifications. this service will be performed free of charge. owners may contact navistar at 1-260-461-1890.
Damon IS recalling 2,415 motorhomes equipped with axles that include bosch zops or zoht pin slide hydraulic disc brakes. When combined with occasional or seasonal vehicle operation may experience calipers sticking in the applied position. This can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end causing brake drag.
Risk and remedy
Risk
The driver would normally detect the brake drag but if undetected the temperature increase at the wheel end can eventually lead to soft pedal conditions due to brake fluid boil, and possible extended stopping distance increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the necessary components free of charge. workhorse IS handling the remedy and owner notification for this campaign please see 09v-110. owners may contact workhorse at 1-877-246-7731.
Damon IS recalling 43 my 2006-2009 daybreak and my 2009 daybreak sport motor homes built on workhorse recreational vehicle chassis. the castle nut that retains the steering drag link to the pitman arm may have been improperly torqued during assembly. the improper torque may have damaged the castle nut and compromised the integrity of the connection.
Risk and remedy

If the drag link were to separate from the pitman arm, the driver would not have directional control of the vehicle possibly causing a crash.
Remedy
Damon IS working with workhorse to replace and properly tighten the castle nut that retains the steering drag link to the pitman arm (please see 08v442). owners may contact workhorse at 1-877-946-7731 or damon at 1-800-860-3812.
On certain motor homes built on workhorse chassis and equipped with gm 8.1L V8 engines, improper hardening during the heat treatment process can cause the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip to fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the damper. If the damper becomes loose, fuel could be pumped by the fuel pump into the under hood area.

Remedy
Chevrolet and workhorse are handling the owner notification and remedy for this campaign (please see 06v225 and 06v289). Dealers will replace the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clips on these engines free of charge. Owners may contact chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, workhorse at 877-294-6773, or damon at 1-574-264-5517.

We have an iota ts-50r relay transfer switch unit in our 2007 damon daybreak 3274 motor home, purchase used from a dealer in april 2019 with 11,800 miles. It recently started over heating and malfunctions. After extensive research, many motorhome models mfg by various sources have recalled the unit and/or consumers have reported having same issues with fire hazard. I have spoken with the previous owner; an elderly gentleman who very rarely used the motorhome. thor acquired damon via merge and currently has a recall on the iota its-50r but only includes newer models with the same relay transfer switch. Googling produced many forums with content exact to our issue, some with meltdowns, some with fires. Iota engineering has yet to issue a recall, despite these life threatening safety issues. *js

Stationary: equipped with an iota its-50r, transfer switch IS experiencing failure and heats. Bypassing the delay causes the switch to work when it otherwise won't. there IS a recall on the iota its 50R issues by thor and the 2007 damon daybreak IS not a currently included product line - but should be.

TL* the contact owns a 2007 damon daybreak equipped with goodyear tires unisteel tires, size: 245/70/r19.5 (na). While driving at approximately 65 mph, the rear of the vehicle vibrated and the rear driver side tire blew out. The tire was replaced. After the vehicle was parked, the front driver side tire blew out without warning. The contact observed that the blow out was on the inner wall of the tire. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or diagnosed. The tire was not replaced. The dot number was unknown. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 14,107.

This year on our annual family vacation we had 2 tire failures, one occurred traveling down the highway and was the inner rear tire drivers side of the rear dual wheels. the other failure occurred after the rv had been parked for 20 minutes in my driveway. the tire exploded after the rv had been parked for over 20 minutes. upon inspection of the tire failure it was a inner sidewall (engine facing) blowout at the 11:00 o'clock position. I have contacted goodyear about the failure and they have referred me to a service center for the tire to be inspected. the tire size IS 245/70r/19.5 this failure IS in its native state since the explosion. it would be in the national highway transportation safety administration interest to have this particular asset in tact.
