On certain motor homes equipped with polar mach and polar cub air conditioners, the solar panel rubber well nuts could fracture the plastic shroud in the immediate area of the attachment hole.
The rubber well nuts could pull out of the plastic shroud, causing the solar panel to leave the top of the motor home, and increasing the risk of a road hazard or a crash.
Airxcel will reinforce the solar panels with metal mounting brackets free of charge. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact airxcel at 719-676-2326 or fleetwood at 1-800-322-8216.
On certain motor homes, the electric power for the entry doorstep "last out" feature has not been provided and the entry doorstep will not operate in "last out" mode. the "last out" IS a safety feature that causes the entry doorstep to extend one last time if the entry doorstep power switch IS off and the vehicle ignition IS turned off.
Dealers will inspect and provide power so the entry doorstep "last out" feature IS active. owner notification began september 10, 2003. owners should contact fleetwood at 1-800-322-8216.
All the double panes windows in the motorhome have fogged in between the glass and blocked vision. Most importantly we cannot see out of the drivers window to view the mirrors.
TL* the contact owns a 2004 fleetwood revolution. While driving 20 mph, the driver side windshield fractured. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the windshield was replaced; however, while being repaired, the passenger side windshield detached and needed to be replaced. the contact also stated that the inside of the windshield was not sealed properly, which caused it to rust and the entire cradle was rusted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.
Our driver's side window has fogged up to the point where you can not see the review mirror clear enough and has now become a safety issue. The windows are made by SE-G1 and the replacement IS very costly. we also have other windows starting to fog up and will need to be replaced. *tr
2004 fleetwood revolution visibility problem with all windows and the front door. all, as with other fleetwood owners have fogged up between the glass. this IS an absolute safety problem and our next step IS to file suit against fleetwood. the windows need to be replaced, fleetwood knows of the problem and IS responsible. if anyone can assist please call. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6). *tr
There was no accident. the windows on the coach fog up and it IS insulated glass and it IS between the two pieces of glass and you can not see the rear view mirrors . Fleetwood has known of the problem but will do nothing about it. a couple of people have had them replaced under warranty after they complained to hi way magazine. I have had the right door glass replaced because you could not see out of it and it would not clear up unless in the right weather conditions. I have talked to other owners of the same type of coach and they have the same problem and get the same answer from fleetwood as I have . It IS out of warranty and not a safety issue. If you are traveling at any speed and can not see you rear view mirrors I think it IS a safety issue.*cw
I have a 2004 fleetwood revolution 38B motorhome which has se-gi windows. the driverside window has fogged up and it IS difficult to see out of. it IS safety hazard when driving. neither fleetwood nor se-gi IS willing to take responsibility for the defective window. there are many manufacturers who use these windows and the problem IS wide spread. se-gi should be held responsible for producing a defective window which produces a safety hazard. *tr
Dual pane drivers side window has a failed seal that results in window becoming discolored. Side mirror can no longer be seen through this window making this a safety hazard. Manufacturer acknowledges multiple complaints for this brand window but does not offer any remedy. Window must be replaced at a considerable expense to consumer. *Tr
Dt*: the contact stated while filling the motor home with diesel the fuel sprayed from the filler neck onto the vehicle and onto him. the manufacturer has been alerted. updated 2/28/2006 - *nm
We have a 04 revolution motorhome on a freightliner chassis with air brakes. With about 10,000 miles on it. I had to make a panic stop at about 45 miles an hour and after that the motorhome didn't seem to want to stop. Freightliner informed me that the brakes were glazed. I tried to tell them I was an overt the road truck driver and have traveled over most mountain passes. I have never glazed brakes before. I just felt you should have this information in case other have this same problem. I don't feel it IS possible to glaze brakes from one panic stop. Unless there IS something wrong. *nm
This a fleetwood rv,the problem IS it will not take fuel from a normally used fuel nozzle found at truck stops. The only way I can fill the motor home with fuel, IS to remove both filler caps (one on each side) which will allow fuel to go in with out over flowing onto the pavement. But be cause both fillers are open fuel always runs out before the nozzle shuts off. Fleetwood advised me that my rv was designed to be filled at normal gas stations and there was nothing that could be done. That of course makes little sense. This IS a 110 gallon tank. This may not sound like a big deal but believe me it IS. *Jb
Dt: contact stated the electric shade fell off of 2004 fleetwood coach and hurt his hand. this happened on august 24, 2005. As he was straightening out in the road there was a rock that struck the luggage compartment doors. The rock damaged the underneath of the door. *ak both hangers broke and were hanging by the wires on one end. the consuerm had to cut the wires to release the shade. *nm
When driving at any speed consumer noticed a noise coming from the front door, and then front door opened. This caused great concern to the consumer. She had spoken with the dealership about this issue. However, dealership will not assist the consumer at this time. *ak
NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opened these reviews into vehicles including this one.
This investigation was opened based on odi's receipt of a congressional letter on behalf of a constituent.the constituent reported incidents where the slide out room of his motor home would inadvertently move (extend) during highway use.odi was concerned that a fully extended slide out would degrade the vehicle's dynamic handling characteristics and/or possibly impact an object or another vehicle, resulting in a crash.odi contacted fleetwood and discovered that slide out rooms were installed in motor homes, travel trailers and folding trailers. As part of the investigation odi visited a rv show and the fleetwood paxinos plant to examine slide outs in various new make and model vehicles and gain an understanding of how the systems work.during the investigation odi learned that there are two methods used to extend slide out rooms.some manufacturers use hydraulic systems and others, such as fleetwood, use an electric motor.
