Certain motor homes and travel trailers equipped with a two-door refrigerator, manufactured by the dometic corporation, may have a defect in the boiler tube. pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) IS present.
Risk and remedy

Release of coolant under certain conditions could ignite and result in a fire.
Remedy
Fleetwood will be working with dometic in order to repair these refrigerators (please see 06e076). dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. dometic has retained stericycle inc. To manage this campaign. stericycle will assist you in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. owners may contact dometic/stericycle at 1-888-446-5157 or fleetwood at 1-800-322-8216.
Vehicle description: travel trailers (only models 26A and 24B are affected, and further identified by the characters "7A26" or "7B24" in the fourth through seventh positions of the vehicle identification number. the main wiring harness and generator battery wiring could be damaged by the generator exhaust system.
Risk and remedy
Risk
This condition could cause melting of the wiring insulation, creating an electrical short. this could lead to a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will relocate and secure the battery cable and main wiring harness away from the generator exhaust system; install a heat shield to protect wiring from excessive heat exposure from the generator exhaust; and replace any damaged wiring, if necessary.

I own and live in this 1999 fleetwood travel trailer. It has a recal on the dometic refrigerator. The recall IS due to leaking fumes and over 3,000 have exploded. I tried to have them fix it they refused. I cannot use my propane or will not because I don't want to have my trailer explode. I have complained nothing has been done. What do I have to do to make other people do their jobs to get this recall done. I have lost so much money on food and buying these little tiny refrigerators and they don't work or something happens plus I don't have room. Can I get this fixed please. The contact was not notified of nhtsa campaign number: 06e076000 (equipment), but stated that the power supply failed to function, the refrigerator leaked fluid, and toxic fumes entered the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer who refused to provide the remedy for the recall unless the contact signed a waiver. The refrigerator was not repaired. When the refrigerator was on, the contact noticed toxic fumes. The manufacturer was notified and provided no solution. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was not applicable.

Tl*the contact owns a 1999 fleetwood wilderness. the contact received a recall notice from ford for the vehicle speed control in august of 2007. he called ford in january of 2008 and was informed that they had no idea when the part would be available for the recall repair. there had been no failure to date. the recall number was unknown. the current mileage was 100,000.

Recall of rv refrigerator dometric corporation represenative hung up on me when they could not furnish a name of a faciliy that could repair the unit in a reasonable length of time,1 1/2 - 2 months waitwas not reasonable when they stated to me that it would take approx imately 20 minutes to correct the defect that could cause a fire. *ak

There was a problem with the landing gear which caused the trailer to disconnect from the vehicle. the manufacturer did not make the landing gear anymore. the manufacturer sent the consumer a repair kit to fix the landing gear but the problem still existed. *jb
