While driving on highway 301 thru starke, florida, in my motor home, in a 30 mph zone, the engine stopped. All electric was lost, as a result, power steering, and power brakes failed. Fortunately I was going slow enough to make a controlled stop. I notified 911 and they dispatched the starke police to provide traffic control, as motor home was blocking a travel lane. The vehicle was towed to murray ford in starke, florida. I was told that the electronic engine control unit failed. The service manager told me that the part was not readily available, and there would be a long time delay, four months, before a new one IS available. I bring this to your attention because that part must be failing at a significant rate, and may require an investigation. *tr
