Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Coachment Crossfit vehicles. The Federal Placards on these vehicles incorrectly list a rear axle Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) that exceeds the GAWR assigned by the chassis manufacturer.
Risk and remedy
Risk
The incorrect GAWR may cause the operator to overload the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Forest River has notified owners and provided a corrected Federal Placard, free of charge. The recall began April 25, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8590. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-0699.

- 10165595The thermistor installed in the vehicle is not in an optimal location. The thermistor will need relocated, and software upgrade to the FireFly electronic control system is also required.
- 10164148According to the Technical Service Bulletin released by Carefree of Colorado; "It has been recently reported in a few instances that the awning extends during travel. This can be caused by the wiring being reversed causing the auto-retract system to extend the awning from a closed position."

- 10152065Certain vehicles have Nova Kool refrigerators installed in which the 12VDC/120VAC circuit board fail, causing the refrigerators to turn off. In addition, the ventilation requirements of the refrigerator may need to be enlarged.
