Risk and remedy
Risk
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Forest River will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on December 27, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440, or Kidde customer service toll free at 1-855-262-3540, or online at www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-0544.
Forest river IS recalling certain model year 2011 sandpiper and sierra trailers equipped with dexter axles. on some axles, cracks could appear in the spindle weld.
Risk and remedy
Risk
These cracks can propagate and cause the spindle to detach from the axle tube, resulting in the separation of the wheel end from the vehicle, creating a road hazard and/or compromising the driver's control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Remedy
Forest river IS working with dexter axle and will inspect the axle serial number and replace it if it falls within the serial number range. replacement of the axle will be performed free of charge. the safety recall began on january 6, 2011. owners may contact forest river's warranty department at 1-574-534-3167 or dexter axle at 1-800-400-2164.

- 10112157This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a hard start or a no start. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code DTCs P0087, P0088, P0191 or P128E. Technician will need to follow all Service Information diagnose for the Diagnostic Trouble Code. If the current Service Information diagnostic has led to Fuel Injection Pump replacement, Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 must be inspected for magnetic metal debris. If there is a questionable amount of magnetic debris found on Pressure Regulator 1 remove the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor and/or Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 to inspect for magnetic metal debris. If technician will need to replace all of the parts listed under the latest version of PIP4949 found in the Service Forms section of Global Connect if debris is found. Clean and flush all fuel chassis lines, filter pipes, and other engine mounted fuel system pipes not replaced. Also the fuel filter housing must be cleaned with a new fuel filter installed. Then the fuel tank and fuel sender must be cleaned and flushed.
- 10112091This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have an air condition that has poor performance during high ambient temperatures. Technician will need to check the refrigerant charge and record the recovered amount on the repair order. Technician should recharge the system if needed. Technician will also need to verify if Global Diagnostic System 2 high side readings match a high side pressure gauge. If the readings vary greatly diagnostics will need to be performed.
