Risk
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Thor will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Risk
The driver would normally detect the brake drag but if undetected the temperature increase at the wheel end can eventually lead to soft pedal conditions due to brake fluid boil, and possible extended stopping distance increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the necessary components free of charge. workhorse IS handling the remedy for this campaign please see 09v-110. Workhorse will conduct the owner and dealer notification. owners may contact workhorse at 1-877-246-7731.
On certain motor homes built on workhorse chassis and equipped with gm 8.1L V8 engines, improper hardening during the heat treatment process can cause the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip to fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the damper. if the damper becomes loose, fuel could be pumped by the fuel pump into the under hood area.

Remedy
Chevrolet and workhorse are handling the owner notification and remedy for this campaign (please see 06v225 and 06v289). dealers will replace the fuel rail pulse damper retainer clips on these engines free of charge. owners may contact chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, workhorse at 877-294-6773 or thor industries at 937-596-6849.

Risk
At night the instrument cluster lights may fail and the driver may not be able to see the instrument panel gauges and the brake warning light indicator which could increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Workhorse IS conducting the owner notification and remedy for this campaign and reprogram the instrument panel cluster free of charge. owners may contact workhorse at 1-877-246-7731 or four winds at 574-266-1111.
On certain motor homes, the fuel lines on the chassis could chafe against the steel floor structure, causing the fuel line to rupture.

Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the braided fuel supply line to determine if the fuel line has become excessively worn or chaffed. if there IS no visible damage to the fuel line, the dealer will secure the fuel line to the main wiring loom. if damage IS discovered, the fuel line will be replaced and properly anchored. the recall began july 16, 2004. owners should contact four winds at
On certain class a motorhomes equipped with three-point shoulder harness seat belts, the seat pedestal brace was improperly installed or could be missing. also, the brace could have been installed without utilizing four tec bolts to hold the brace in place.

This could result in the seat belt harness malfunctioning in the event of a crash, which could increase the risk of personal injury or death to the driver or passenger seat occupants.
Remedy
Dealers will either add a seat pedestal brace if brace IS not present or install necessary hardware or tec bolts to hold the brace in place. the recall began march 31, 2004. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact four winds at 574-266-1111.

There IS some kind of noise coming out the engine when I start the car, on the top of my dashboard there IS another noise that I don,t know what IS that every time I start my car engine, also the speed of the car IS an controllable, IS not speed up according to the way supposed to. Tl*the contact owns a 2004 four winds infinity. while approaching a red light at approximately 25 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and it extended straight to the floor. the vehicle did not stop normally and was shut off and then restarted. the ABS light illuminated on the instrument panel and remained lit. the contact drove the vehicle to her camp site and discovered that the rear passenger side wheel was hot. she also noticed a burning smell coming from the wheel. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic and they replaced the brake rotors and calipers. there IS an open and closed investigation (pe07032) regarding the failure. on december 15, 2008 while driving on the highway she was informed that front of the rv was burning. She pulled over and noticed that the right and left front rotors over heated. She allowed them to cool down and proceeded to the camp ground. she could feel the vehicle pulling to the right side; however, she was able to reach her destination with the brakes operating normally. She will take the rv to the dealer on december 29, 2008. in march 2008 she had all of the brake pads replaced, all of the rotors and calipers were cleaned and rotated. The rv was serviced three times before leaving pennsylvania. She paid $1,347.00 for maintenance and repairs to avoid future failures. The dealers are not properly correcting the ABS failure to avoid it from recurring. The current mileage was 17,000 and failure mileage was 16,598. updated 04/21/08 *bf

Tl*the contact owns a 2004 four winds infinity. while driving 5-10 mph, the contact noticed a burning smell when he depressed the brake pedal. the dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the aroma. there IS a defect investigation for the service brakes (nhtsa action number pe07032). the engine size was unknown. the failure mileage was 10,000 and current mileage was 14,500. updated 09/25/07 *tr
- Electrical system
Lost all electrical power to motor home. Therefore engine stalled and had no power brakes or steering. Was only going about 5 miles per hour but, had a difficult time stopping the motor home with both the foot brake and parking brake being applied. *Jb
