- 45927Problems may occur with the williams controls throttle pedal assemblies used on detroit diesel ddec III engines (specifically with throttle pedal position sensors manufactured since july 1994): the engine retarder may not always engage. The engine may intermittently idle at a slightly elevated rpm.
