When removing seat, left side angle bracket that holds screw, (1/4-20 thumb screw), fell to floor. This bracket was riveted to the plastic seat pan, in a triangular pattern. The bracket, rivets, and plastic, about the size / shape of a nickel, fell out in one piece. There are spider cracks in the seat pan around the hole on the left side and on the right side bracket assembly area also. If the seat fails, causing a seat/rider shift, at any speed, will make motorcycle uncontrollable. This needs to be a recall. Looking online for a replacement, many used seats have this same cracking around the brackets. I am 6'3", 240lbs. And very seldom ride two up. This should not have broken, ever. *tr
Rear wheel bearings worn badly at only 8,500 miles creating unstable condition. Bearings are sealed and can not be lubricated. There IS also no mention of maintenance or inspection requirements in owners manual/maintenance intervals. this IS a common problem since harley davidson switched from greasy bearings to those of the sealed type. *tr
