It has been known to just lock up motor. How can this not be a recall as of yet the or off IS there upgrade kit!!! It's not if it happens but when!!! . I have many complaints on the 96" motors but the worst IS the cam plays need to be upgraded the best that makes the IS fueling r&d.thet really need to step up an make good on these recalls. It appears they or someone are not making this known. This bike IS on its tenth year. An they never put on recall list. Thank you for your attention in this matter. The contact was able to stop the vehicle using the frontal brake. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and the current mileages were 75,000. ....Updated 08-24-12 *bf the consumer stated the brake switch failed after it shorted and melted. I inspected the failed part it had obvious damage on the exterior and appeared to have melted. The failed brake light switch fluid leak and immediate failure. 08/31/2012 *js

Excessive heat IS coming up below the seat and at the foot boards during operating vehicle. I have had my pants material catch on fire once and the heat IS so severe I cannot even ride the motorcycle in the summer from fear of a heat stroke. *Jb
