The fuel gauge has not worked almost since the day I took it off the showroom floor. it's very erratic. tells me there's nothing left when the tank IS half full. tells me it's half full when it's almost empty. tells me it's got a quarter tank when I know it's full. I've run out of gas twice…

A vehicle that makes repeated short trips can have this condition because the engine does not reach normal operating temperatures, allowing condensation and moisture to build up in the engine oil.
