Good afternoon, my name is [XXX] . I purchased my 2009 Hyundai Azera limited edition in 2019 used with 98385 miles after I had the car for 9mths the car stopped running and the company I purchased the car from uses a repair company called Silver Rock which maintained the car I was told a belt popped after receiving the car back 2 days later the engine blow. They replaced the engine and from there The check engine light stayed on the Diagnostics check stated the O2 sensor needed attention repaired that light went off for a week after a week the check engine light returned had it checked again and the O2 sensor showed up again so I had someone else change them again light went off 2 days later the check engine Light appeared again but with ABS on ESC off TPMS on had another Diagnostics completed and it still shows O2 senors And ABS failure and to constantly replace the issue and it's not working properly afterward has a little upset. Now I saw that Hyundai has a recall on My 2009 Hyundai Azera for the ABS and the interior light which has stopped as well from my understanding but when I called to get help I was told my car is not a part of that recall which is confusing because I am very much having problems with those systems and from what I've read in the manual multiple chain reactions occur With an ABS stops. My car is now not allowing my keyfob to work, the drunk switch on the door and inside the clove box has stopped, and the release for the back seats is not responding I was never given a master key so I can't access the trunk, and the system will unlock the driver door but none of the others there is an issue where the main power box under the hood is not responding to fuse 3,4,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24 and the same issue is happening to my fuse connection on the inside of the car and when you turn the engine everything is in reverse meaning: door usually lock now the unlock, the AC comes on, the radio comes on, the back window curtain moves. I paid a premium for an in-dash navigation system. Hyundai has now decided that they are not providing map updates for vehicles purchased before 2011. Despite complaints to their customer service line and a letter to their president, I am being told that I am out of luck and there IS no fix for out-of date maps. Seems to me that the manufacturer has an obligation to provide map updates for the navigation systems in their cars and hyundai has ignored that responsibility. This IS a safety hazard.

The gps unit IS out dated with hyundai. Called several times to get update, hyundai says they no longer use lg who did all the gps updates, after using the gps I ended up in wrong location, putting me onto a wrong way street, causing me to drive on a one way direction with oncoming traffic head on, then it told me to take a street that put me almost in the ocean. I do believe hyundai should be recalled for this alone, after a post on facebook, this seems to be a nation wide problem, and a class action lawsuit. *tr

I purchased a 2009 hyundai azera last year from fuccillo chevrolet in grand island, new york. the car was new and still on the lot after 2 years but I was assured that there was nothing wrong it and I have been pleased with the vehicle up until now. however, yesterday while driving home from work, the car went into an emergency slow-down mode and both the ecs off and check engine light went on. this happened on the thruway while I was driving in heavy traffic which was harrowing. fortunately, I was able to 'limp' off the highway and get to a side street. I called my husband and the emergency roadside assistance and my vehicle has now been taken to northtown hyundai in amherst, ny. my husband researched the slow-down/ecs issue on the internet and found that there have been numerous cases of this happening due to a defective throttle control device in many of the hyundai and KIA models. in fact, a woman at the service counter who had a 2007 azera had the exact same issue with her car! needless to say, this should be a recall issue and that IS the reason why I am writing. It seems that this throttle control issue IS fairly common with these vehicles and it IS also potentially dangerous. please make them initiate a recall. *tr

In a letter dated August 9, 2013, Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center, Inc. (Hyundai) notified NHTSA that Hyundaiis conducting a safety recall (13V-354) involving approximately 239,000 vehicles involving model year (MY) 2006 through 2010 Hyundai Sonata vehicles (approximately 215,000)produced beginning on March 1, 2005 through January 21, 2010 and model year (MY) 2006 through 2011 Hyundai Azera vehicles (approximately 24,000) produced beginning on September 27, 2005 through November 22, 2010 that are registered in and operated or originally sold in the following 20 salt belt states and the District of Columbia: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.Hyundai will also inform dealers to inspect/repair vehicles that were previously registered in salt belt states but are currently registered elsewhere. Hyundai is conducting the recall to remedy a defect involving internal corrosion of the rear sub frame that may lead to separation of the rear upper/lower control arm(s) at their respective mounting points and/or separation of the axle from the transaxle where they meet. This could result in a loss of vehicle control and/or vehicle disablement which may increase the risk of a vehicle crash. In response to NHTSA?s Information Request (IR) letter, Hyundai stated the Azera vehicles utilizes the identical cross member and upper/lower rear control arm components as the subject (Sonata) vehicles. In analysis of both Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) data submitted to the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) and consumer complaint data submitted to Hyundai, ODI identified 19 non-duplicative reports alleging excessive corrosion of the rear sub frame. All of the complaint vehicles were either originally sold or registered at the time of the incident in one of the salt belt states.Of these 19 reports, 9 alleged either a suspension component separation or a fracture of the vehicle's rear cross member assembly.Similarly, ODI identified 8 warranty claims of rear sub frame replacement in data submitted by Hyundai due to excessive corrosion, all of which involved vehicles originally sold or operated in a salt belt state. Based on Hyundai's decision to conduct a safety recall, (13V-354) this investigation is closed. The VOQs cited above can be viewed at www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchNHTSAID under the following identification numbers: 10535115, 10534110, 10525976, 10524726, 10521520, 10508368, 10505463, 10490073, 10486752, 10486435, 1048354, 10473922, and 10437887.
