10178754Isuzu diesel engines available in the above affected vehicles meet the california air resource board's (carb) optional idling emissions standard of 30 grams per hour of oxides of nitrogen (nox) with no increase in the emission of other regulated pollutants. As a result these vehicles have been approved as "certified clean idle" and are "exempt" from the engine shutdown system (ess) requiremnet pursuant ot section 1956.8 of title 13, california code of regulations. As required by the ess regulation, for "certificed clean idle" vehicles, isuzu has introduced a tamper resistance "certified clean idle" label located on the driver's side door panel. It IS important that this label remain, permanently, on the vehicle to identify it as "certified clean idle." carb requires this label as evidence that, at hte time of manufacture, the engine installed met the applicable emission standards. Should the label be found missing or damged during an inspection, a citation and penalties may be issued. If the vehicle IS operated in california with a damaged or missing clean idle label, isuzu recommends vehicle operators follow the 5 minute ess requirement by manually turning off the engine. Following this ess requiremnet will keep the vehicle operation compliant until a replacement label can be installed. "Clean air idle" labels are printed with a serial number and registered to an individual vin. As a result, a replacemnet label will also include a new serial number which must be registered to the vehicle's vin by the manufacturer. The below information IS provided to assit in acquiring, replacing and registering a replacement label.

10050139Isuzu: due to insect nesting and/or debris left by flooding, fluid IS leaking at top of automatic transmission dipstick tube, and a new breather hose vent was designed to reduce this condition. Models 2007-2012 n series, 2007-2010 w series.
10046799Isuzu (chevrolet/gmc): trucks with diesel engine would have idle vibration, trouble starting, engine not revving up, and a lack of power due to possible operation condition of suction control valve (scv)/fuel rail pressure (frp) regulator being intermittent. Models 2004-2010 chevrolet/gmc c, t, w series and isuzu f, h, n series.
10039084Gm/izuzu: electrical problems including tail light or fuel guage malfunction. The abs/transmission/malfunction lights may be on. Water intrusion in wiring harnesses may be causing the problem.

10033309Isuzu/gmc/chevrolet: oil related misdiagnosis-engine oil dipstick calibration incorrect. Models equipped with diesel particulate filler (dpf) and wholesaled before 12/03/09, were built with an incorrect engine oil dipstick calibration. The incorrect calibration causes an overfilled condition of approximately 1.5qts when at the full mark.
10032489Isuzu (gmc/chevrolet): cruise control inoperative, no mil - up fitter installed led lights. Some up-fitter applications, which include the use of led brake lights, may cause the factory cruise control to become inoperative. This condition IS created when the factory filament style brake lamp bulbs IS replaced with led type bulbs.
10032488Isuzu (chevrolet/gmc): the transmission slips, will not shift, or may overheat. Technicians may find dtcs p0894 or p0218 stored either current or in history. These conditions may be caused by friction material debonding from the torque converter clutch. Harsh or delayed shifts, no drive, no reverse, slips and the ses/mil may be illuminated. Updated 9/15/10.
10030789Isuzu/chevrolet/gmc: see document search button for owner letter. The following table contains many possible causes for the following symptoms. Hard start/no start; rough, misfire, unstable or incorrect idle; surges, lack of power, hesitation, lag or stumble. While some of these symptoms may lead to component replacement, the replacement should not be considered a completed repair. These types of symptoms have a high probability for a repeat repair since the true source of the failure IS typically fuel contamination. Updated 3/23/12.
