My car leaks during rain from the sunroof to the blue hose drain and flooded my car. Which messed up the electrical system. I'm having problems with my car saying it's over heating but it's not it's the electrical system telling the computer in car that it's how when its not and now my transmission IS messed up we think. My car IS currently at jeep dealer in cerritos, ca for 2 days now and no one can tell me what wrong.

Engine stalls at speeds above 60 mph. This happens while driving on the freeways and has happened several times in the last week.

The sunroof drain design was faulty. During raining weather, the sunroof drains cannot handle the collected rain and the rain will overflow and go into the car. The rain that overflows falls into the front panel and has caused multiple electrical failures and shortages. Most importantly the water has damaged the instrument panel and headlight controls which causes them to shut off while operating the vehicle.

First annoyance was the inside door handle on the drivers side. It failed to open the door at around 45,000 miles. Then the rear passenger inside door handle just crumbled out of nowhere around 47,000 miles. then around 50,000 miles the brakes 'felt different' when braking and it felt to hard to press down on the pedal to stop the vehicle. The brake pedal felt hard as a rock then the ABS warning lights came on and after a diagnosis I was told that it had to be replaced. Whenever we went through a puddle of water on a turn the jeeps steering would lock up and just kept moving forward & not turning.

Defective valve seat fell into cylinder. Many complaints on line including mine. Fully maintained. Ran fine and parked. Wouldn't re-start. Had it checked and the cylinder was shattered. Glad I wasn't driving on the roadway as the engine would of stopped and so would steering and brakes.jeep was in storage since 2015.

Driving under certain conditions the vehicle engine completely shuts off and stalls. This happens on the highway, mostly at speeds of about 45-60 mph. the two recalls available on the vehicle as it relates to this issue (tcm/pcm ) ( ignition switch) have been recently fixed by the dearlership, however the vehicle continues to mulfunction in the same manner and appears to be getting worse. Contacting chrysler, they are abrasive and uncooperative. A little research shows that there are several owner complaints on this very issue dating back to 2006-2007-2008. There appears to be an "active" investigation ongoing by the nhtsa-office of defects investigations. What IS the status of this investigation-10 years later??? there appears to be no interest on the part of the manaufacturer to address this issue without the vehicle owner incurring massive loses in endless diagnostic and repair expenses.

I have been waiting since september 11, 2015 for the part.

On may 5, 2008, chrysler llc (chrysler) submitted a defect information report to nhtsa concerning an engine calibration issue that could result in engine stall in approximately 24,461 model year (my) 2006 jeep commander vehicles equipped with the 4.7L V-8 engine and built from february 25, 2005 through january 11, 2006.according to chrysler, the powertrain control module (pcm) was programmed with software that may allow the engine to stall during certain operating conditions.chrysler dealers will reprogram the pcm software in the recalled vehicles. Information provided by chrysler during pe07-009 and ea07-007 indicated that a revised engine calibration was implemented in production effective january 12, 2006 for the my 2006 jeep commander vehicles equipped with 4.7L V-8 engines.odi's analysis ofconsumer complaints, field reports and other data related to field experience with engine stalling in my 2006 through 2007 jeep commander vehicles equipped with 3.7L, 4.7L and 5.7L engines identified an elevated rate of stalling incidents in the my 2006 vehicles equipped with 4.7L engines that were manufactured before the calibration change.odi interviewed over 70 consumers who reported stalling incidents in early production my 2006 4.7L vehicles.information gathered from those interviews indicated that the stalling incidents were occurring at various speeds, often occurred during turns and typically occurred more than once.the interviews did not identify any concerns with restartability. Although the early my 2006 production vehicles with 4.7L engines make up only about 15 percent of all my 2006 through 2007 jeep commanders built by chrysler, they were responsible for 465 of the 854 reported stalling incidents (54%), 6 of the 12 crash incidents (50%) and the only injury claim.the stalling rate for the recalled vehicles IS 1.90 percent, almost 7 times greater than the rate in the remaining population (0.28 percent).chrysler's recall covers the vehicles with the elevated stalling rate.the remaining vehicles have relatively low rates of stalling and do not exhibit any signs of aggravating factors such as problems with restart. Odi also analyzed complaints alleging concerns with loss of lighting coincident to stalling incidents.this analysis identified seven stalling incidents where loss of exterior lighting was alleged.no specific cause was identified in these incidents and there was no discernible pattern regarding engine, vehicle production options, build range or failure trend. This investigation IS closed with chrysler's recall.

Odi has received 76 vehicle owner complaints alleging incidents of engine stall while driving in model year (my) 2006 through 2007 jeep commander vehicles (subject vehicles).some of the complaints reported one or more incidents of engine stall with a simultaneous loss of some or all lighting systems, including headlamps.two engine stalls resulted in a vehicle crash.in its response to a request for information, daimlerchrysler corporation (dcc) indicated that it has not determined the cause of engine stalling in the subject vehicles and that it hasformed a multi-disciplinary task force to investigate the issue. This investigation has been upgraded to an engineering analysis (ea07-007) to further assess the frequency, scope and potential safety consequences of the alleged defect.
