I brought my vehicle in to be service for a "service 4WD" light on 8/31/26. While there, I was told there was an open recall on the airbag system. I agreed to get the recall completed. Now, my vehicle is dispaying the airbag light, my SOS system says it is not working, and my odometer is flashing. I brought the vehicle back to the same dealership to address these issuse, and they told me that I needed to have the airbag module replaced, which would cost $709.90. They gave me error codes B2204-87, U0154-00, U0452-86, and B00A0-81. I asked if this is related to the recall I recently had performed, and they said "there was a recall the door airbag pressure sensor software update that was already performed, but that is different from what the car needs now, but it is the same system." I escelated it to the service manager, who told me he would reach out to Stellantis to see about a goodwill repair. I asked him how he believes this issue could have happened, and he said, in simple terms, that the sensor is like a lightbulb, and sometimes just goes out. I asked him if it was possible that the sensor could've gone bad after the recall was performed, and he said no, the lights would have come on right away. The dealership called me back and said the repair was misquoted, and now was almost $1,000. The goodwill repair they came up with would cover half of the cost, and I would still be responsible for a $200 diagnostic fee, so I would still be paying almost $700. My vehicle had just over 59,000 miles on it and it is currently unsafe to drive because the safety system is completely disabled. Since this is a un-remedied federal safety recall issue just under the 60,000 mile mark, I am requesting that Stellantis provide 100% goodwill coverage for the parts, labor, and diagnostic fees.

I was driving on the NYS thru way with my family and my rear suspension coil came out while we were driving. The part was not rusted or looked defected. When I took it to the dealership they said a recall for this issue had been repaired in June of 2023 prior to me owning it. I purchased the vehicle on October of 2024. I called corporate and they said there is nothing they will do for me. I paid $500 to fix an issue that should have been completed properly. This is now a safety concern for me and I fear driving it will happen again.

I am experiencing two serious issues with my Jeep that have raised significant safety concerns. First, the front passenger seat's lumbar bladder repeatedly inflates on its own, making the seat extremely uncomfortable and causing severe back pain for anyone sitting in it. I have been informed that this is a known issue affecting many Jeeps of this model. The dealership previously deflated the lumbar bladder under warranty, but now the problem has returned. I was told I must pay for the repair out of pocket because the previous deflation supposedly voided or disqualified the warranty coverage. I do not believe I should be responsible for paying to fix a recurring defect that was previously addressed under warranty. Second, the Electronic Brake System (EBS) warning light comes on randomly, and when it does, my vehicle unexpectedly slows down or comes to a stop. This creates an extremely dangerous situation while driving. I have been fortunate to avoid a collision so far, but I am very concerned for my safety and the safety of my four children, who regularly ride in the vehicle with me. I am requesting that these issues be thoroughly investigated and repaired at no cost to me, as they involve recurring defects and serious safety risks. I also request a written explanation of why my warranty claim for the recurring seat defect was denied after the dealership's previous repair.

The coil spring on the rear passenger side has become detached from my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited. I was unaware that it had happened when I started to drive and could hear something kind of bouncing around. When I got out of the vehicle to see what was going on, I could see that the rear of the car seemed unusually low. That is when I looked under and saw the spring dangling next to the tire. It could've caused a bad accident if it had gotten caught up in the tire or if it had completely detached and either hit another car or caused another car to hit it. The vehicle had a recall for this in 2023, before I owned it, and the status says "inspected" but not repaired. There was another recall early in 2026 for this same issue, but at this time, my vehicle is not part of that recall. However, it should be as this is a dangerous, scary issue that isn't immediately evident. I'm just grateful that I was in my neighborhood when it happened and not driving on the interstate at a high rate of speed, as there was nothing to indicate that it was imminently happening. It hasn't been inspected yet as it just happened but I will have it towed tomorrow to get inspected and repaired. It is underivable in its current condition.

On June 8, 2023, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US, LLC (FCA) filed Safety Recall 23V-413 affecting certain 2022–2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and2021–2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles to address rear coil springs that may not have been properly installed during vehicle production. An improperly installed rear coil spring may detach while the vehicle is in motion, creating a road hazard that can increase the risk of a crash for following motorists and may result in injury to other road users. Since the filing of Recall 23V-413, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received twenty (20) unique consumer complaints alleging rear coil spring detachments occurring after the recall remedy was performed. These reports raise concerns regarding the effectiveness of the recall remedy and suggest the possibility of additional factors not addressed by the original recall campaign. Accordingly, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) is opening this Recall Query (RQ) to assess the adequacy of FCA’s remedy procedure under Recall 23V-413 and to evaluate the root cause(s) of post-remedy coil spring detachments. ODI will review complaint data, field reports, and FCA’s technical analysis to determine whether further action is warranted. To review the ODI reports cited in the Opening Resume ODI Report Identification Number document, visit NHTSA.gov.
