2025 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS Severe Safety Hazard: Intermittent, sudden, violent unintended acceleration and deceleration at highway speeds (70+ mph), immediately followed by total loss of engine power/shutdown. Incident Details: While traveling at highway speeds, the motorcycle experiences rapid unprovoked throttle surges and drops, creating extreme motorcycle instability and near-loss of control, before stalling completely in active traffic lanes. Repair History & Manufacturer Failure: Dealership has replaced throttle body, ECU, ignition coils, fuel pump, and kill switch over multi-month period without resolution. The dealership/manufacturer now claim a faulty kill switch as the root cause, which fails to explain the preceding unprompted highway acceleration surges. Neither manufacturer nor dealership will sign an affirmation of repair and safety certification or release diagnostic data for this motorcycle.
