The wrong operational amplifier was installed in the controller on the involved vehicles. If a certain capacitor in the controller should fail, the brakes on the axle on which the controller IS located would fail. The brake warning light which would normally indicate a malfunction, would also be inoperative.
The dealer will inspect and, if necessary, remove incorrect controller and install a new controller and wiring harness.
On the involved vehicles, the fifth wheel may have a cracked tube. A cracked cross tube may lead to failure of the fifth wheel.
Dealer will inspect the tube for cracks. If necessary, the fifth wheel will be replaced, without charge to owner.
