Risk
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-574-535-2100, or Kidde customer service toll-free at 1-855-262-3540, or online at www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2011-2017 Bullet and Passport recreational trailers. The affected vehicles are equipped with an air conditioner LCD thermostat that may not be properly wired.
Risk and remedy
Risk
If the thermostat is wired improperly, any damage to the thermostat wiring may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will correct the wiring at the air conditioner control box, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2016. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 16-261.
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2014 Summerland, Springdale, Bullet, and Cougar recreational travel trailers and fifth wheels. The affected vehicles may have been built with frame spring hangers that may be brittle and susceptible to fracturing.
Risk and remedy
Risk
A spring hanger that fractures may result in a loss of control of the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the spring hanger, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on April 17, 2014. Owners may contact Keystone at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 14-205.
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2014 Cougar, Springdale, Hideout, Passport, and Bullet fifth wheels and travel trailers manufactured January 13, 2014, through February 12,2014. In the affected vehicles, the inner wheel bearings on the axle may have insufficient lubrication.
Risk and remedy
Risk
With an insufficient amount of lubrication, the wheel bearing and hub may become overheated and the wheel may seize or separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the axle hubs and bearings for the proper lubrication. Any damaged bearings will be replaced. These repirs will be performed, free of charge. TL* the contact owns a 2014 keystone bullet. The contact stated that water entered the rear panel of the trailer. Upon inspection, the contact found that the aluminum molding heated and caused the rear panel to warp. An independent mechanic was contacted and confirmed that inadequate material was used, which caused the failure. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 1,500.

TL* the contact owns a 2014 keystone bullet 284rls travel trailer 28FT. The contact stated that the vehicle's light switches became inoperable. Upon expecting the ceiling lights, the contact noticed that the light switches had melted and burned. The contact also stated that the sockets were burned. The contact stated that the switches were mounted to the exterior of the wooden cabinets and was concerned of greater heat dissipation. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was unavailable.

Windows were manufactured in mexico. Windows do not fit and improperly installed.claim was made and and denied within warranty period. Keystone after warranty was out changed complaint to another cause without inspection and denied again as out of warranty. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The deadbolt lock on the door of the trailer would not unlock. We had to climb trough the emergency window, but the lock would not turn from the inside either so we had to unscrew and remove the door handle. Then remove the deadbolt so we could use the door. the second incident that happened…
The deadbolt lock on the door of the trailer would not unlock. We had to climb trough the emergency window, but the lock would not turn from the inside either so we had to unscrew and remove the door handle. Then remove the deadbolt so we could use the door. the second incident that happened was on 7/5/2015. when we returned home from our trip while washing the camper we noticed the axle spring shackle was hanging down. Upon inspection we realized that the bolt was missing and at some point must have snapped off the vehicle while we were towing it. Luckily we did not crash. The passenger side suspension was sitting on the frame of the trailer.
