  TL* the contact owns a 2015 lexus RC 200T. While attempting to park the vehicle, it jolted forward. Later, when the contact returned to the vehicle, the interior lighting was flashing, the steering wheel turned 360 degrees, and the emergency brake was overheated. In addition, indicators showing that the steering wheel hydraulic system was down and the vehicle ignition was still on were displayed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (lexus of winter park, 305 n semoran blvd, winter park, fl 32792, (407) 678-2000) where it was initially diagnosed that the battery was faulty. However, the vehicle was taken to the dealer a week prior and they informed the contact of a possible unknown recall for the electrical system. The contact had the dealer keep the vehicle another day for further diagnostic testing. The dealer called the contact to retrieve the vehicle with no explanation, but with a promise of a call back from management. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 50,000.

This Service Bulletin provides best practice procedures for vehicle pulling complaint, diagnosis, and repair for 2002 ? 2021 model year Lexus vehicles. This information supplements Repair Manual procedures when the symptoms are: ?Vehicle Pulling: The vehicle moves to the right or left when the driver holds the steering wheel while driving straight ahead without exerting steering effort. ?Steering Wheel Off Center: The vehicle travels straight, but the steering wheel is not pointed straight ahead. The vehicle is not pulling. Before repairing a vehicle pulling to one side, it is necessary to clearly identify the cause of the pulling condition. Frequently, pulling to one side is diagnosed as a wheel alignment concern. However, the actual cause may be related to the lateral force generated by the tires, vehicle damage, road crown or worn components. Performing a wheel alignment when tire force is the cause could result in the wheel alignment being set at a value outside of specifications. This could then cause other problems such as uneven tire wear, etc. A customer may notice a pull to the left when in the left lanes of travel and notice a pull to the right or no pull when traveling in the right lanes of travel on the very same section of roadway. This road crown effect is environmental and cannot be corrected with suspension adjustments or any other wheel or tire modification discussed in this bulletin.

• 10162250TSB: Some 2011 ? 2019 model year Lexus vehicles (including RX350HL, RX450HL, LS460L, and LS600HL) with super chrome wheel finishes may become discolored and/or damaged when aftermarket cleaners, polishes, or brake dust removal products are used on wheels with super chrome finishes. Wheel cleaners and polish that contain acidic substances may damage the clear coat of the wheel, resulting in the undercoating (black) to become visible. See Figures 1 and 2 below for examples of wheel finishes damaged by aftermarket products. NOTE If using a wheel cleaning product, first test it in an area NOT visible to the customer.

Intermittent Bluetooth failure to connect to the vehicle when first turning on the vehicle. ? These concerns can be caused by changes made on the customer?s phone. Make sure to inquire with the customer if the connectivity concerns occurred after receiving an operating system update on their phone or if they have restored their phone data/settings recently.

The paint stains may appear to be under the clear coat but are usually under wrinkles in the Rapgard?. The wrinkles may trap water and cause the paint to stain from the trapped moisture, especially on horizontal surfaces such as the hood, roof, and trunk. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

First type is generation 6 or 7 which utilizes HDD (Hard Disc Drive). Pioneer models that begin with NXH, have map data, operating system and other information in the Hard Disc Drive. With this system if a radio is being sent back for an exchange. The original Hard Disc Drive needs to be removed and installed into the newly serviced radio.

A download and installation are required to activate the Enform suite of apps and data services before they are used for the first time on new vehicles. In the event that a Lexus vehicle becomes submerged in water, many components may be physically damaged. Electrical and electronic components, including wiring harnesses, are particularly susceptible to corrosion and subsequent malfunction. Although any flooding can be damaging, salt water flooding elevates the potential for abnormal conditions and may increase risks due to its highly corrosive and conductive nature. Salt residue also continues to corrode and remain conductive even after a vehicle dries. This bulletin is intended to assist with safe handling and inspection of flood damaged vehicles and to provide basic guidance on likely needed repairs.
