On October 7, 2026, our commercial truck underwent a vehicle inspection that identified serious concerns involving the air brake system, including air leakage, air pressure loss, and an issue with the air system breather. These defects raise significant safety concerns because improper air pressure in a commercial truck's braking system could compromise braking performance, potentially resulting in loss of braking capability, a serious collision, severe injuries, or fatalities. We have attempted to resolve these issues through Western Truck Center, at West Sacramento an authorized Mack Trucks dealership. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, the problems have not been satisfactorily addressed, and we have been unable to obtain a clear resolution. We are extremely concerned about the potential risk this presents to our drivers and other motorists. A commercial truck operating with a defective air brake system could pose a serious danger on public highways. We are requesting that NHTSA investigate this potential safety defect and determine whether corrective action is necessary to prevent a potentially catastrophic accident.
