Ball joints , control arms , wheel barrings broke into pieces. Tire was angled in grinding on the brakes and rotor. It was bought at a auction from a previous auction buyer. I bought a new frame for the back due to it being bent. I also replaced the exhaust pipe it was cut into pieces. I was very concerned with the lower control arm parts being warn out. The dangers of the ball joints or the barring falling apart would have left me in a dier tragedy. I did have a mechanic replace the parts. He did damage to them so I had to uninstall parts and assemble them as precise as should be. I also had to leave my car there was no way I was able to move it without a part busting off. It is being maintained part by part . Its a hassle . I do believe parts were being swapped without me knowing. That is very concerning . I also replaced the tire .

My CX-7 was repaired under the ball joint recall. The ball joint had failed prior to getting the ball joint replaced. As a result there were a lot more repairs that were required. it has been a little over a year since the ball joints were repaired. Repair date was 1/25/2017. according to morrie's chippewa valley mazda in lake hallie, wi, my left ball joint IS already loose. it was my understanding that this recall was to address the ball joints failing prematurely. It should have lasted more than a year. Mazda says there IS no warranty for the recall replacement. What was the point of the recall if they cannot fix the issue? sincerely, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6). *tr

Takata recall. When replacing the airbag the airbag light on the dash came on. When taking the vehicle back for second airbag replacement the dealer was notified that the light had come on. The dealer stated that it was a coincidence and had nothing to do with the fact that they had just worked on the system. I wonder if this has been an issue and what IS the fail rate of the seat sensor at the time of work being done or if this IS a way to recoup money for the service.

Bought the car july 30 2016. Left front control arm broke causing lost steering and additional damage to the car. Had the car repaired at a shop july 20 2017. Got a recall notice for the same issue sept 2017. Just had the car repaired as per the recall 08/09/2018 but now mazda does not want to reimburse for the prior repairs made since it was after the august 10 2016 date on the recall and cause I don't have the bank statement from back then showing it was paid on my visa. I sent them the invoice from the garage that IS clearly marked paid visa. The breakage happened on the street I live on, wife and I were on our way to meet with family for supper. The car was just driven home by myself from work on a 65mph 4 lane highway less then a hour prior, thank god it didn't break at those speeds. The road makes a slight turn to the right when I heard a bang and the left front corner of the car dropped. Once I safely got the car stopped with steering found the left front tire at a 90 degree angel with the fender on top of it. Drive shaft was torn out from the transmission and tie rods were bent.

Takata recall and horn and passenger door lock. I took my car in for the suspension recall and air bags to galpin in van nuys ca. I got the car back and the suspension was done but not the passenger air bag. the reason from the mazda service mgr was since my passenger door IS broken ( the lock) he could not open the door so he did not work on the air bag. I can not afford the 200.00 that it will take to fix and replace my passenger door lock. I feel that I should have my door fixed by mazda and then do the repair work on the recalled air bag. the door lock just broke on its own and I paid cash for my car brand BMW from galpin. Also I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden my mazda emblem in the center of the steering wheel blew off and landed in ny lap!! I was not using the horn. I now have no horn and have looked at the fuse and everything else and no one seems to know what happen here. you can see that my mazda emblem IS broken all the way around this piece?? Someone said that since there IS an air bag in the steering wheel I need to buy a new steering wheel? Really? I am a senior on my social security retirement ..i am not able to have these problems fixed at hundreds an hundeds of dollars. however if my air bag has a recall and they didn't fix it since my door lock IS broken and they couldn't open the door. What would you suggest I do? please contact me with any info you have at [xxx] or email at: [ xxx] thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6).?*jb

- 11006987In accordance with Federal regulations, follow the procedure listed below when replacing a speedometer. NOTE: Tampering with a motor vehicle odometer is strictly prohibited by Federal, and State laws. It is the dealers responsibility to comply with Federal, State, and local laws concerning odometer and related documentation requirements when providing a repair or replacement. Mazda vehicles are manufactured with tamper-proof speedometers. When a speedometer is replaced, the new speedometer will read zero (0) miles. This procedure is extremely important to accurately represent actual vehicle mileage. Prior to speedometer removal, complete the information required on the Speedometer Replacement Label. Labels can only be ordered through Mazda eStore. In an effort to achieve a higher level of Customer Experience and retain the value of Mazdas vehicles, MNAO Warranty Operations is allowing all Mazda dealers to utilize a third party, SPECMO Enterprises, Inc., for Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) odometer setting service. With the use of SPECMOs services, it is possible that the odometer will be set between 10 to 31 miles over the odometer mileage at the time of replacement for both warranty and customer pay repairs. Please make sure that the customer is aware that there may be a slight variance to the odometer, in which case the customer may have to accept the slightly higher mileage. Since odometer setting service is not part of the warranty repair, it is not warrantable nor required, but optional. However, Mazda Warranty policy provides after- warranty assistance (AWA) or DSA that can be utilized to cover this service expense.

- 10206002Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Cooler and Lines Flushing Procedure: Automatic Transaxle/Transmission (A/T) oil cooler and lines must be power flushed completely before an overhauled or replacement A/T is installed (except SKYACTIV-DRIVE). The most common cause of repeat A/T failures is lack of lubrication to the front and rear planetary gears. This is usually caused by an accumulation of metal particles and debris (from a previous A/T failure) on the internal mesh type baffle of the oil cooler. Power flushing will remove the restriction by back flushing, followed by forward flushing to dislodge a restriction, then back flushing again. This will in turn ensure full ATF flow for the transmission when it is operating.

- 10194661Subject: ** UPDATE** - Takata Inflator Special Service Program (Extended Warranty) Special Service Program SSPB3: In December 2017 Special Service Program SSPB3 - Takata Inflator Extended Warranty was announced. The extended warranty was a result of the Takata airbag inflator class action settlement. Mazda will provide supplemental warranty coverage for all repairs and replacements (including parts and labor) to correct any defects in the materials or workmanship of Takata airbag inflators and the replacement inflators installed pursuant to the Takata airbag recalls. The program covers defects in the Inflator only and does not cover other items in the airbag system. Additionally, the program also does not cover airbags that have properly deployed as a result of a collision.
