Risk
A detached door skin can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and add fasteners and adhesive the door as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 619 RSB.
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2018 Bay Star, Bay Star Sport, Canyon Star, Dutch Star, Essex, King Aire, London Aire, Mountain Aire, New Aire, Ventana and Ventana LE motorhomes. These vehicles may have a loose power connection at the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), possibly resulting in a build up of heat.
Risk and remedy
Risk
The build up of heat in the wiring from the loose power connection can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the electrical connection at the ATS, tightening it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 5, 2018. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300.

In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on February 7, 2018. Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Dutch Star, 2016-2018 Mountain Aire and London Aire, and 2012-2018 Essex and King Aire motorhomes built on a Spartan Motors chassis. The ball joints on the independent front suspension (IFS) modules can loosen and separate, leading to a partial loss of steering.

Risk
A separated ball joint can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Newmar will notify owners, and Spartan service centers will remove, clean, apply thread locker, reinstall and torqued the ball joints, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on May 3, 2017. Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2017 London Aire, Essex, and King Aire motorhomes manufactured December 9, 2015, to September 26, 2016. The hydraulic entry step controller may not be functioning as designed and may allow the steps to retract unexpectedly.

The steps can retract without warning, causing someone using the steps to fall, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy

The affected vehicles are equipped with WABCO OnGuard collision mitigation radar which may have been mounted upside down on the front lower bumper, resulting in decreased performance.

- Engine
My coach has no throttle repose after engine brake engages ? So what happens IS when you slow down engine brake works fine but when you hit the throttle to go there IS no power just rpm goes up ? The only way to get power IS turn off engine brake on the dash then it goes fine. . This does not happen every time

- 10205733Check for proper torque of all mounting bolts on all electric slideout motors. If any bolt is under- torqued, remove the bolt, and add blue LOCTITE thread sealant to the bolt threads. If there is no washer on the nut side of the bolt, add a flat washer. Reinstall and torque all 5/16 bolts to 19 ft. lbs. and all 3/8 bolts to 33 ft. lbs.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, there may be a loose electrical connection to the automatic transfer switch (ATS) that was not properly tightened. If the power connection is loose, it may result in a buildup of heat at the connection, which may increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property.
- 10127601Newmar has decided to incorporate a system reset switch for coaches equipped with HWH hydraulic entrance steps. The switch has been added to the front overhead cabinet during production on later 2018 models. If the HWH system fails to operate the pump assembly when using the leveling system touchpad, slideout switches, or the entrance step, this reset switch will provide the coach owner with a more convenient location for resetting the HWH system. This will eliminate the need to pull the F-11 fuse or exit the coach to turn off the chassis disconnect in the event of a system lockout. Issue: In the event of a step failure, the person(s) inside the coach would have a large gap between the door threshold and the ground. The person(s) may have to exit via the large gap or the emergency exit door to get out of the coach.
- 10127599Newmar has decided to install an override switch for the HWH step to provide a way to operate the step from inside the coach in the event of a sensor or door switch failure. In the event of a step failure, the person(s) inside the coach would have a large gap between the door threshold and the ground. The person(s) may have to exit via the large gap or the emergency exit door to get out of the coach.
