The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH around a curve, the brake pedal was depressed and the front tires seized for several seconds, causing the vehicle to slide on the road. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

The vehicle was taken to town center nissan (2310 barrett lakes blvd, kennesaw, ga 30144, (770) 423-9691) where it was diagnosed that the gear box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 35757982, but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 45,000.

• 1023906012 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect Test with DCA and Replace results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. The DCA-8000 is also a more efficient charger than previously available, and will charge any available 12 volt lead acid battery safely and accurately as long as all precautions and inputs are made correctly. If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.

The old style has been discontinued. If for any reason the old style antenna base needs to be replaced, both the base and the mast must be replaced as a set with the new style shown in Figure 1. If the vehicle still has the old style antenna base, as shown in Figure 2, and only the mast is damaged, a replacement antenna mast can be ordered.
