The motor developed rod knock as the vehicle was traveling down the highway. The low oil pressure light came on along with an audible warning. This vehicle has previously been repaired by the dealer for the same issue at 97,273 miles (the engine needed to be replaced). On July 4, 2023 I was backing out of a driveway and put my vehicle back into Drive. A piece out of the steering column fell at my feet. I pulled back into the driveway and could not get the vehicle to shift into park to be able to remove the keys from the ignition. We used the emergency brake. The cover had to be removed from the column and a piece was found to have stripped. We made a makeshift piece to hold it together to shift the vehicle into park and remove the keys. The white piece in the picture had a steel bolt that had stripped the aluminum housing threads and both had fallen out. They helped control the shifting. Nissan was contacted and they agreed to cover half of the repair. This should have been completely covered since it is not an item that can be covered by a warranty and never should have failed in the first place.

My car would rev up really loud after I started it and would last for 1 minute or 1 minute and half until I depress the accelirator . Recently my car will keep on revving up in low speed and while in interstate, I could feel the engine really loud while driving at high speed and I won't speed up in low speed except giving loud sound. I feel its dangerous not safe to drive when it do that.

This vehicle was purchased brand new from the dealership. While driving, the air conditioning air flow to the back three rows of seats IS insufficient. Due to insufficient airflow, temperatures within the vehicle remain at or near the outside (ambient) temperature for extended periods of time. This IS a dangerous condition when the outside temperature IS above 100 degrees fahrenheit. When measured from the rear seat, it takes over 30 minutes for the internal temperature to get below 90 degrees fahrenheit, which can cause dehydration or heat stroke in children. It takes about 40 minutes for internal temperatures to drop below 80 degrees in the rear seat. Upon inspection by a factory authorized technician, it was stated that 'the vehicle IS working as designed,' and no solution was offered.

Two times within 12 months our check engine light came of and the engine started making noise like two metal discs are rubbing against each other. this has happened when we just recently fill up the tank and then have a large temperature swing from hot to cold. the first time the guy said it IS bad gas...i find it hard to believe we got bad gas from two different gas stations within 12 months.

First notice a loud revving sound coming from the engine yesterday may 8. it happens while driving and you lose power to accelerate when trying to accelerate the car does not increase in speed. today may 9 I have noticed with the air being on that it tends to rev more. it happened several times today. Sounds like a jet taking off. Van has approximately 10,000 miles on it. it IS very scary when it happens while driving and you lose power. It will happen while moving, parked, shortly after starting. There's no rhyme or reason.

Transmission issues where fan suddenly gets extremely loud and experience loss of acceleration. Shifting up and accelerating IS extremely labored. This doesn't happen every time. It IS completely random. Once it starts, turning it on and off doesn't seem to help. Sometimes it happens immediately when starting the car, other times it will suddenly kick in while driving which has proven to be extremely dangerous as I suddenly can't get through an intersection as quickly as I should be able to. Bought it wil 44 miles on it. Problem started at 299 miles. We took it in immediately and they made an adjustment to the fan shroud which seemed to help for awhile, but now it IS doing it again every 2 to 3 times I drive.

This happens while moving, and I cannot accelerate and the vehicle speed drops. Turning off the air conditioner can cause the sound to go away and power to be restored. I know of other nvp's who are having the same problem, at least one that has been brought to the same dealer as mine. The dealer says the vehicle IS not throwing a code so there IS nothing wrong with it, except we cannot maintain any speed or accelerate and it takes several seconds to regain power after turning off the air. This IS very dangerous in some driving conditions. The van IS only 3 weeks old.

We bought your NV 3500 SL V8 less than two weeks ago. after driving it a few hundred miles (mostly highway) the engine became extremely noisy, with a revving sound, and it acted as if it was in neutral. it continued to sound like an airplane attempting to take off, and it was sluggish with shifting with simple acceleration and even with deceleration. this loud noise IS worse if the ac IS on. it will sometimes completely stop after having the car off for a while. but some days it IS roaring immediately when the van IS started in the morning.

While driving, without notice or warning the engine will rev and get very loud and rpm's will max out. The car will lose power and will not accelerate or shift gears for a significant delay.

When accelerating, there IS a loud revving sound and a noticeable loss of power. The van runs at very high rpms and acts like it can't shift out of gear. Seems to be related to having the air conditioner on at this point.

My van will randomly sound like it IS neutral when it IS in drive and it loses acceleration when this occurs. the frequency it has been occurring and duration IS increasing. it will now lose acceleration and the rpms will randomly increase while driving. the rental van that we drove did the same thing. reports from other 2017 NV 3500 owners state that their vans are doing the same thing. it does not seem that my van IS an isolated case and I believe the loss of acceleration when the van malfunctions that way IS a safety hazard, not to mention the potential stress it puts on the engine and transmission. I have brought my van into the dealership three separate time and contacted nissan commerical vehicles. my van IS currently in the shop at crest nissan in frisco, texas.
