The tire tread separated from the tire without ever bearing any weight or even mounted on an axle. The tire was properly inflated and still has the paint on the treads indicating that it has not been used. The tire is available for inspection. Had I put this tire into service, I feel like it would have most likely blown out and endangered myself and my family. I have four of the exact same tires on my RV trailer and I am scared to pull it due to the apparent lack of quality of these tires.
The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Puma Palomino. The contact stated that there was an outdoor griddle that slide out from under a small outdoor countertop at the rear of the trailer. The contact stated that while using the griddle, the propane hose was compressed by the griddle. The contact stated that the hose was degraded over time due to the slide-out resting on the hose. The contact was concerned that the hose might fail to cause a fire or even an explosion while attempting to use the griddle. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer to be diagnosed but was informed that a solution was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
