"Takata recall" - airbag warning light indicator on instrument panel lights up randomly. This has been occurring for the past year. It will stay lit for a day, but the next day it will be out. Some days it will stay lit for 20 minutes or so then turn off. It doesn't matter if my vehicle IS in gear, stationary, moving, etc. There IS no rhyme or reason to the airbag warning light coming on.

I tried to reset the airbag signal light but no success. please contact me at [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6).

My son and his friend were involved in a collision that completely totaled our 2007 saturn vue. Neither the driver or passenger side airbags deployed in this accident where the vehicle ended up upside down in a ravine after hitting a sign at approximately 55 miles per hour. The airbag light had been going on and off for quite some time but I had no idea that meant neither of them was operational. Thank goodness no one was injured but what a horrible turn out this could have had. definitely a safety hazard!

I bought this SUV in feb of 2015. It had 92.000 miles on it at the time. I paid $8K. It has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. First, the steering was bad. Apparently it's a common issue for gm vehicles to have a rack and pinion issue. It needed to be regreased, which was an easy fix, and the dealership didn't charge me. the next month I moved from mn to ga and when I got down here (it's hot) realized the ac didn't work. I took it in and was told that the ac compressor was bad and needed to be replaced at the tune of $1200. I decided to be sweaty all summer. But I didn't realize that the seized up ac compressor was threatening my entire serpentine belt. So I got that fixed at the end of the summer. just a week after that fix, my brakes went out. The car jerked and squeaked and it was generally so bad that I was having trouble getting the car to move. The grinding sound was so loud it was embarrassing. I took it in and the rotors and calipers and one bearing needed to be replaced. $850. the remaining problems are: airbag and cruise control. The driver's side airbag light has been blinking on and off for months, but recently it doesn't ever turn off. I can't afford to fix it right now, but I was hoping there was a recall. The cruise control stopped working the day after I got it back from having the breaks fixed. I'm afraid this car was a total lemon.
- Electrical system
When driving the vehicle the driver side airbag lite comes on stays one for about three hours. I never know when it will happen but it's getting worse.
- Air bags · Electrical system
Passenger side airbag light comes on- took to shop- they said there IS a problem with airbag and seat warmer connections- airbag light sometimes goes off when seat warmer IS on... But after a few minutes the light comes back on. the mechanic said it would cost between 900-1200 to fix this- this IS a safety issue that should be covered.

The ignition was not turning over properly. the battery light was on. The brake light came on. the traction control system came on. the (ABS) light came on. the check engine light came on. the oil pressure light came on. I drove my car from fresno to yosemite and right in front of the park garage it broke down and I managed to roll it off the road and into a stall. I requested professional advice. the professional said it appeared to him to be a faulty altenator, a failed electrical system, and a battery problem, as well as a problem with the ignition switch. they did not have the tools to examine the products, so instructed me to have it towed to the dealer in the nearest locale. this IS a specific car dealer in fresno, ca.

I was driving down the road and my knee accidentally hit the key and it fell right out of the ignition switch. I have to fumble around for it on the floor while the car was running and moving. I also have noticed in the last few months that I have to jiggle the ignition switch quite a few times back and forth in order to start the car. this happens alot some weeks and other weeks, just a few times. *tr

I have been having two problems with the switch , #1 , I can remove the key while the motor IS running and it will continue to run ,. #2 , when I turn the ignition off the key will jam before reaching the key removal position , this IS intermittent , and I have turn to the ignition on position and then turn it off a second time , this usually works , most of the time . My question IS given that gm has now identified the cause of the ignition switch faults (failure) , why have they only just recalled some of the saturn line of vehicles and not all of them. I am aware that since gm closed the saturn plants , that they have a ten year commitment to fix problems on all saturn vehicles , this information was given too me by a gm dealership in the seattle area , during a visit to get a lube job . We live in moses lake , wa about 300 miles from seattle . Also my understanding IS that this dealership are the only one in wa contracted to do any work on the saturn line of vehicles. Are you able to give me details on this situation . *tr

I was driving to college when the check engine light came on. Upon stopping at a red light, the auto-stop feature kicked in but once I started going, the battery light came on and the entire vehicle started running horribly and the lights dimming. The airbag, traction control, and ABS dash lights all started turning on and then off also. So I now have both check engine and battery lights staying on. I went to my fathers house to use his code reader since the service department at the dealership was closed and I have the following codes: poabb, poafb, p1a47, p1174, and three poa37. These codes are all saying that the hybrid system IS over voltage and the diagnostic fix IS to replace the hybrid system/power inverter. I'm going to the certified saturn dealership in the morning to have it thoroughly looked at. But after looking at other complaints, it seems that gm should have looked at all the hybrid line battery systems for faultiness and needs to fix them! *tr

Check engine light came on immediately after driving off the lot. Severe electrical/computer issues. The hybrid battery was not functioning properly. The hybrid battery was replaced but we have continued to have electrical/computer problems. The radio quit working and had to be replaced. The ignition switch/core had to be replaced. This we paid for out of pocket even though gm knew about similar ignition issues with saturn vue's and other cars. We are still experiencing problems with the ignition. The car completely shuts down while driving. The key will fall out of the ignition while driving. Gm has refused to do anything about these issues. The dashboard lights all come on at random times. The airbag light has continued to illuminate at random times despite our bringing it to gm's attention from the moment we purchased the car. We replaced the airbag sensor but the problems have persisted. Gm says there's nothing wrong with the airbags despite the airbag light randomly coming on. Recently the hybrid battery has stopped functioning properly again. We feel totally unsafe driving this car and gm doesn't seem to care. Gm should pay for any and all repairs that may be needed. Of course, conveniently for them, they say the 8 year/100,000 mile hybrid/powertrain warranty has expired even though we have not yet reached 100,000 miles. *tr

The ignition failed to work. Turning the key to the start position did not turn the engine on. Did not start the starter motor. Also after turning the key to the start position, the key did not recoil back to the on position as it does so customarily. The key just remains in the start position by itself. My vehicle had to be towed to alexander/gmc/cadillac auto center in oxnard, ca. I was told that I am going to be charged close to $600 (parts & labor). another issue I have IS that the drivers airbag light IS always on. Several years ago, I took it to the same shop mentioned above, and was told that there was no fault code when they scanned the vehicle's computer via obd-ii. However, and to this day, the airbag light continued to be lit, giving me an unsettling feeling. *tr

Having trouble getting the key to turn in the ignition. Can take numerous tries and several minutes before the key finally turns. Not sure what makes the key turn -- had it work after buckling the seat belt, shifting the steering wheel, or taking the key out and trying again. Problem has been worsening in the past few days, but has occurred on and off for several months. *tr

I own a 2007 saturn vue hybrid, my key constantly gets stuck in the ignition and will not turn. at times it has taken me a full hour to get the key to turn after countless jiggling of the key and turning the steering wheel or pressing the brake. I have tried the spare key and the same thing happens. I have been stranded several times in a hot car in florida, and I'm pregnant. Not a happy camper. *tr
