I received a recall notice from skyline corporation for dometic refrigerator recall. Our travel trailer had all 4 issues that was described. Went to dometic website and entered model number and serial number and came back that my unit IS affected. Took to rv dealer that we had bought our unit from and explained the issue and the recall notice. They were familiar with the recall and had us bring the unit up to take a look at. They called back with news that the refrigerator IS shot and it had a bad cooling unit and leaked all the coolant out. The cost of repair was $1300 for cooling unit or $1650 for a new refrigeration. I was told they had contacted dometic and they would not cover the cooling unit under the recall. The boiler tube that has a fatigue crack IS recalled and then leaks the pressurized coolant out thus being a fire hazard. This IS the cooling unit. I have contacted a certified tech who works on air and cooling who also does appliances to verify this. Now either dometic IS not standing behind their recall or this dealer was trying to pull a fast one as they would not get full shop rate and part mark up on the recall repair. We just want our refrigerator fixed. Ketelson rv in hiawatha, iowa IS dealer. Mike in service was contact. Refrigerator model # rm 2652, serial # 13700739. It IS a 2002 travel trailer, model nomad. *Tr
