- Fuel/propulsion system
A crack has formed in the area where the liquid/vapor separator bracket IS welded inside the fuel tank. I investigated with a boroscope--image attached. This IS allowing fuel leakage to occur through the emissions system. This IS the same problem as the 2003-2006 recall (attached pdf). After communicating with the suzuki dealership, the district manager refused to repair the gas leakage.

I recently purchased a new 2008 suzuki sv650 standard motorcycle. the incident happened right before I entered the freeway. the screw securing the left foot gear shifter became loose and fell off. this IS a serious hazard since motorcycle had only 600 miles when it happened. I could have stalled or lost control if I entered the freeway. *tr
